Animals love Reiki. They are very sensitive to energy, and will be curiously attracted to sudden shifts and concentration of energy.
Often when we engage in meditation at home, our animals can’t stay away. They slink in and lay down nearby and just relax for the duration contently. When we finish the session, they go about their kitty and doggy business.
If we dare to close them out of the session, they will whine and scratch at the door until we include them, and since they don’t disturb or interact with us during sessions, we just find it easier to include them.
When we are ill or injured, our animals give us healing too, as they are natural conduits. Have you noticed your dog or cat will come to comfort you when you’re upset or depressed? They want to help you in order to restore energetic harmony in the home.
And animals appreciate being given Reiki too. It soothes them during times of stress, trauma, or illness. And sometimes, they just need a little body boost, just like we do!
